Her first fit

So we were in Wal-Mart the other day and I was in the toy section Christmas shopping. I thought I would entertain Addi by giving her a toy to play with while I shopped. So I found a glow worm and handed it to her. I continued shopping and when I was done I grabbed the glow worm and put it back on the shelf. It was at that point that Addi began to throw her fit. I quickly walked over to Eric and told him what happened. Not believing me we went back to the isle and gave her the glow worm. Then she stopped crying. Eric said to put the glow worm back on the shelf. I did. Then she began crying again. Then he said, "Buy the glow worm".

November

Addison is officially on "the charts"! She went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and weighed in at 13 lbs (probably about 14 now) and came in at the 5th percentile. That may not seem like much, but for her that is GREAT! She is catching up. The doctor says by about age 2 she will be completely caught up with her peers. She is almost sitting up on her own. We started eating baby food about a week ago. It was so funny because the first time I tried to give it to her she just spit it out. I began to think she wasn't quite ready. But after about 2 days and 3-4 feedings, she had the hang of it. Now she eats SO MUCH. She can eat 2 veggies and 1/2 a fruit in one meal! Then, finish it off with a 6 ounce bottle. I've never had a baby before, but that seems like a lot. We are trying VERY hard to get her on a good sleeping pattern. Really, she would prefer to stay up all day (without any sort of nap) and go to bed at about 8 and wake up between 8 and 9. We've been going with that for a while now, but with me being home this week I've been able to get her to take a short nap in the morning, and about a 2 hour nap after lunch. I have LOVED being home with her this week. We haven't done much, which is what has made it nice. Just spending family time together. Eric is off this weekend so we are going to try and go see Santa! Thanksgiving was fabulous. We have so many things to be thankful for, but most of all our family. We ate dinner at YaYa and Dink's on Wednesday night, then at Nana and PaPaw's Thursday, then to see Poppy and LaLa. Addi got to see three sets of great grandparents this week. How cool is that? Our next goal is to move Addi to her bedroom, YIKES!!! I am SOOOO not ready. I'm telling myself after Christmas so I can mentally prepare myself. What will I do without her right next to me? I am afraid, however, if I don't do it soon I will regret it when she is old enough to fight it. I've had her picture taken twice since my last post. Here's what I got....
(p.s. I will post the other random photos from this month later - when I get around to getting them off my camera)

Isn't she a cute Christmas present?

All 3 kids - what do you expect for a photo with 3 kids under the age of 2?

I have an excuse, I promise

Both (not just one) of our computers crashed. I wasn't sure if I would be able to live without a computer, but I have managed. We were able to get our laptop "sorta" working. :) Anyway....Addison has been doing GREAT! She is growing faster than I ever expected. We have had a lot of firsts since I was last on; first circus, first real "campout", first pumpkin patch, first "studio" portraits, first State Fair, first cereal and first giggle. This weekend she has her first birthday party (cousin Grace). She is such a good baby. People tell me all the time, but I know first hand how good she is. She eats just 4 times a day; breakfast, lunch, dinner, and right before bed (with cereal - yum). She likes to play in the morning, nap BIG in the afternoon, play in the evening, and - believe it or NOT - she sleeps 10-12 hours at night. She spends 4 days a week with Nana (my mom) and Fridays with YaYa and Dink (Eric's parents). Her routine fits just nicely into our schedule, so I'm sure that won't last for long. So...we are enjoying it while we can. Eric, Addi, and I are really enjoying our family time when we can get it. Here are some (I mean A LOT) of photos from the last two months. Enjoy :)

Just Hangin Around the House

I can't belive little Grace is old enough to hold my baby. I remember when she was a baby!

This is at the State Fair of Texas. She didn't much like the baby cow licking us.

CAMPING 10/10-10/13
Fort Richardson

She looks so adorable in hats. I can't help it, I usually take a hundred pictures.

Addi LOVED sleeping outside when we were camping. But at night, we all slept in YaYa and Dink's trailor.

The Pumpkin Patch :)

Fall Pictures - She wasn't very cooperative so we just captured a few. She really just wanted to sleep and cry. Isn't that what a baby's job is???

That Smile :)

YES! I finally captured it on camera. She has been doing it for about a month or so, but I couldn't ever capture it. She does seem to smile more when she is in her bed and we are looking over it. We must look funny to her? When I look at these pics on the computer it is a firm reminder that she is getting bigger. She doesn't really look like a newborn anymore. At least not to me. She is eating more and more each day. (about 5 ounces every 4 hours) She is "pretty much" sleeping through the night. Eric feeds her when he gets home (about 2) and then she eats about 7 or 8. She is also staying awake A LOT more. And she does NOT like it when we put her down and she wants to be up. She pretty much cries till we realize she wants to sit up and look around. The other day she got off her schedule, so she wanted to be awake during the night....that was not fun. Here are some more pics of that cute smile :) And yes, I had to do all sorts of crazy things to get this on camera.

This is her when she FINALLY fell asleep today. I thought she was going to be awake for 12 hours straight for a while. She is like Eric, fights sleep as much as possible, but once she is out, she will sleep for 6 hours straight. It's going to be great fun once she is a toddler. :)
