The 7 Days of Christmas

Well...we had several family gatherings to go to this year and fortunately for our sanity it was spread out over 7 days. We had a great time with everybody and feel blessed to have such great family and friends. I thought Addi was a fun age for Christmas...although she didn't exactly know what was going on, we had a great time pretending. I have TONS of pictures to post...so I will just let them tell the story :)

Christmas at the Lake and Great-Grandad's Birthday

Addi was barely awake to open her gifts...but she learned later that she is going to be the best dressed baby on the block.

The boys playing Monopoly...of course.

The ONLY photo we could get of the 3 kids.

Kylie got a camera like TiTi

Addi LOVES James...and James LOVES Addi's toys :)

Uncle Justin and Dink

Addi LOVES her new seat. It makes LOTS of noise! Thanks YaYa and Dink.

Aunt Elise and Uncle Justin got her some books. She cracks me up how she holds them and looks at them as if she is really reading.
The purpose of this toy is to "encourage" crawling. At this point, Addi HATES to be on her tummy. She gets mad, screams, rolls to her back, then smiles at you. We will see...

I love my new iPod :)

Christmas Morning

"Mommy...I am not awake yet"

"Where is my bink?"

Daddy helping Addi open her first gift...an ornament for the tree.

My baby's first Christmas

"What's this Daddy"
"Mommy...Santa Claus is not suppose to bring clothes"
"This could be fun"
"Wow!"
"So many sounds and lights to choose from"

7 months old...

Addi will sit on our bed (sometimes) when we are getting ready and play with her toys. I thought this set of three pictures was funny...pretty telling.

Happy as a clam

Mad as can be

Binks fix everything

I can't believe how long she looks in this picture. Oh...and this is the face Daddy makes when he doesn't want his photo taken.
Addi LOVES LOVES LOVES her jumper. She spends hours in it...and when she is not in it, she expects you to hold her and help her jump.

With these "special" bottles, Addi can hold them herself.

When YaYa and Mommy were shopping in Gymboree we had to check out these shades on her. I was amazed at how well she wore them without a fuss.

Addi and her hats...we like to play in hats...Mommy needs to start taking more photos of them.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Her first fit

So we were in Wal-Mart the other day and I was in the toy section Christmas shopping. I thought I would entertain Addi by giving her a toy to play with while I shopped. So I found a glow worm and handed it to her. I continued shopping and when I was done I grabbed the glow worm and put it back on the shelf. It was at that point that Addi began to throw her fit. I quickly walked over to Eric and told him what happened. Not believing me we went back to the isle and gave her the glow worm. Then she stopped crying. Eric said to put the glow worm back on the shelf. I did. Then she began crying again. Then he said, "Buy the glow worm".

November

Addison is officially on "the charts"! She went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and weighed in at 13 lbs (probably about 14 now) and came in at the 5th percentile. That may not seem like much, but for her that is GREAT! She is catching up. The doctor says by about age 2 she will be completely caught up with her peers. She is almost sitting up on her own. We started eating baby food about a week ago. It was so funny because the first time I tried to give it to her she just spit it out. I began to think she wasn't quite ready. But after about 2 days and 3-4 feedings, she had the hang of it. Now she eats SO MUCH. She can eat 2 veggies and 1/2 a fruit in one meal! Then, finish it off with a 6 ounce bottle. I've never had a baby before, but that seems like a lot. We are trying VERY hard to get her on a good sleeping pattern. Really, she would prefer to stay up all day (without any sort of nap) and go to bed at about 8 and wake up between 8 and 9. We've been going with that for a while now, but with me being home this week I've been able to get her to take a short nap in the morning, and about a 2 hour nap after lunch. I have LOVED being home with her this week. We haven't done much, which is what has made it nice. Just spending family time together. Eric is off this weekend so we are going to try and go see Santa! Thanksgiving was fabulous. We have so many things to be thankful for, but most of all our family. We ate dinner at YaYa and Dink's on Wednesday night, then at Nana and PaPaw's Thursday, then to see Poppy and LaLa. Addi got to see three sets of great grandparents this week. How cool is that? Our next goal is to move Addi to her bedroom, YIKES!!! I am SOOOO not ready. I'm telling myself after Christmas so I can mentally prepare myself. What will I do without her right next to me? I am afraid, however, if I don't do it soon I will regret it when she is old enough to fight it. I've had her picture taken twice since my last post. Here's what I got....
(p.s. I will post the other random photos from this month later - when I get around to getting them off my camera)
